I’m Maria and these days I wear a few different hats (author, copywriter, journalist), but they’ve all got one thing in common: words.

You see, I’m obsessed with words. I love writing them, editing them, polishing them when they fall flat, deleting ones that might get you into trouble or just throwing down some high scores in Scrabble.

My background is originally in the world of consumer magazines, and I’ve worked for many of the biggest names in UK publishing, including News UK, Emap, IPC, The National Magazine Company (now Hearst UK) and the BBC.

I’m also a member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and my novel The One is published by HarperCollins in the UK (‘A beautiful, believable writer… 5 stars‘ THE SUN).
